James was the VP of Sales and Marketing at FreshPoint San Francisco from 1998 – 2009. In this role, he managed the sales department and the entire customer base. He was integrally involved in all facets of the company’s operations. James focused on developing local, sustainable and organic programs locally and nationally. He won and expanded business with Stanford University, U.C. Davis, U.C. Santa Cruz, Guckenheimer, Sodexo, Aramark, Avendra, Produce Alliance, Il Fornaio and many other notable distributors, institutions and restaurants. James won the Sodexo national "Supplier of the Year" Award in 2008 for Sustainability Philosophies, Practices and Services. He assisted in promoting G.A.P. (good agricultural practices) with The Grower's Collaborative, C.A.F.F., U.C. Davis and Stanford University. He has written many educational articles on sustainability, environmental impact, organics and good agricultural practices. James is a graduate of the Parson’s Design School in New York.
