Our Patent Pending, Closed-Loop Organic Agriculture, begins with integrating our “best-in-class” greenhouse technology and management techniques with a cogeneration system that uses biomass to concurrently generate power and utilize waste heat to operate the facility. Excess energy is sold at a premium to the utility grid or industrial user as green renewable power. The CO2 produced as an off-gas from the system is captured with the carbon sequestered full-circle by the plants to enhance their growth.

Our greenhouse biosystems will operate with energy independence through the use of solar, wind, geo-thermal, biomass-based energies and harvested waste energy. As a result, we will be in production year-round and may be located in most climates. EcoFarm’s core business will produce consumables, such as organic fruits and vegetables. At selected locations, algae as a crop can be produced as a feed stock for animal feel, organic fertilizer, nutriceutical or bio fuel.

Local Organic Carbon Neutral Produce

EcoFarms will locally produce organic consumables year-round, in accordance with USDA organic food standards, and deliver them within 48 hours of harvest to local markets nationwide. Our market advantage and profitably is based on growing high-quality, organic products “off-season “ for year-round consumption. We are able to do this because of our Patent Pending use of alternative energies deployed for heat and light. We will tailor the products grown at each location to meet local market demands. Our primary products will include:

  • Tomatoes: Vine-Ripened, Cherries, Plums, Heirlooms, Beefsteaks.
  • Cucumbers: English Seedless, Mini Cucumbers.
  • Peppers: Bells, Chiles, Habaneros, Jalapenos.
  • Leafy Greens: Lettuces, Spinaches, Chinese Vegetables.
  • Herbs: Basil, Oregano, Mint, Etc.
  • Fruits: Strawberries, Raspberries, Melons.

In addition to organic consumables, we are engaged in research in selected areas with respect to controlled environment algal cultivation for use in bio-diesel production from micro algal oils. Further, EcoFarms is developing protocols for the use of the biomass waste components remaining after algal oil is extracted from the algal biomass. The biomass waste can be processed and used in production of:

  • Animal Feed
  • Organic Fertilizers for use in crop production
  • Nutricueticals
  • Feedstock for biodigesters in co-located biogas power plants
